Galway United caretaker manager John "Jumbo" Brennan has added club legend Billy Clery and team captain Alan Murphy to the club's coaching staff ahead of Friday evenings Premier Division clash with Bohemians at Terryland Park (KO 7.45pm). Clery will assist Brennan and Tommy Lally with the preparation of the first team, while Murphy will take over as manager of the United U19 side. Billy Clery made his debut for Galway United in 1993. He is a former club captain, has previously managed the Galway United U21 side, and is one of the clubs longest serving players. Alan Murphy joined United in 1998, and is second in the club's all-time goalscoring charts with 70 goals. He will take charge of the U19 team for Saturdays clash with Limerick FC in Limerick. |
