Galway United face Bray Wanderers in the Airtricity Premier Division on Friday. Having lost to St Pat’s Ath. last weekend, Galway United hope to record a win this time around. United will be without three players through injury or suspension but manager Sean Connor remains confident. MANAGER QUOTES: Sean Connor said: “I am looking forward to the first home game of the season. We are in a mini league with Bray, Drogheda, UCD. We need to finish on top of that league so we need to finish with 3 points every time we play these teams at home. It will be difficult as Eddie's teams are always well organized and have plenty of energy and I have no doubt that he will unearth another couple of top players as he has done in the past.” Thomas Heary said: “As a team we were disappointed with how we defended last week. On Friday that’s the first thing that we must correct. On top of this we need to work hard and look to create a few more opportunities. We are all looking forward to this first home game.”
Injured: Alan Murphy (long-term); Jonathan Keane (2 months) Suspended: Stephen O'Donnell (one match)
KO: 7.45pm, Mar 12th, Terryland Park |
