Courtesy of RTE.ie Bray Wanderers cruised to an easy win as Galway United slumped to another heavy defeat at Terryland Park. Throughout a miserable season Galway have repeatedly encountered problems failing to deal with routine situations and Bray were keen to exploit this early on. The visitors could have scored on three occasions inside the opening 10 minutes as the home side were fortunate to survive several scares. Eight minutes in Stephen Last's clearance spilled kindly for Kieran Marty Waters, who came close to giving Bray the lead. Waters' pace was causing Galway plenty of bother and Laurence Gaughan did well to deny the promising Bray youngster. Then Eric Browne was forced to hook a Waters effort off the line following a Jake Kelly delivery as the Seasiders continued to probe. But Galway had an opportunity themselves in the 13th minute when Bobby Ryan's cross somehow found Oscar Sibanda, who was unable to direct the ball on target. Bray were on the front foot, though, and Waters fed Jake Kelly, who was denied by the woodwork on the quarter hour mark. Pat Devlin's took the lead in the 38th minute with Gary Dempsey providing the assist for Kelly, who drilled home a precise shot. Two minutes later Winn's weak kick out allowed Conor Murphy dash through to claim another goal for the vibrant visitors. Then three minutes before the break, Jake Kelly's corner created a third for veteran Colm Tresson, who was crafty enough to head home from an acute angle. Galway's woeful defending didn't stop as in first half stoppage time Waters added a fourth after Winn failed to hold a Dempsey free kick. Ten minutes after the restart, Bray scored again as Graham Kelly netted as Galway were unable to clear a threatening Tresson cross. The rout was completed in the last minute when Bray substitute Shane O'Neill converted a sixth goal.
