Dean Marshall put the home side in front from the penalty spot in the 11th minute, but the sides were back on level terms six minutes later when Alan Murphy fired home from three yards out.

Graham Rusk then grabbed a brace in the space of five minutes, but Bobby Ryan put the home side right back in it when pulling a goal back on the stroke of half time.

Sub Cillian Morrisson bagged UCD's fourth in the 78th minute, but Murphy made it a close finish when he scored from the spot with eight minutes remaining.
