Galway United are pleased to announce the appointment of John "Jumbo" Brennan as caretaker manager for the remainder of the 2011 season. John is one of the clubs all-time leading goalscorers, and has also played League of Ireland football for Shamrock Rovers, Sligo Rovers and Dundalk. He has previous coaching experience with Salthill Devon, and has been the manager of the Galway United A championship side in 2011. John will take charge for Monday evenings match against UCD at Belfield (KO 7.45pm).
